This privacy notice explains how go.atspeed.tech handles personal data when you use the platform as a racer, payer, parent or guardian, club organiser, team member, or visitor. It applies alongside the platform terms, club terms, and cookie policy.

Who controls your data

go.atspeed.tech is operated by Vince Coleman. Vince Coleman controls personal data needed to operate the platform, including accounts, authentication, checkout records, payment and refund records, support, security, and platform administration.

Clubs and organisers using go.atspeed.tech may separately control personal data they receive to run their events, championships, memberships, race meetings, safeguarding processes, finance records, or club communications. Contact the relevant club for questions about how it uses data for its own club operations.

Data we collect

We collect account details, contact details, racer profile details, licence details, transponder details, club team roles, booking selections, checkout answers, order details, payment and refund status, membership records, support messages, device and log information, IP addresses, and records of legal agreements accepted during checkout.

Where a parent, guardian, or family member manages racer profiles on one account, we may process information about the racers linked to that account. Do not add another person's profile unless you are authorised to manage bookings for them.

Why we use data

We use personal data to provide accounts, racer profiles, club pages, bookings, checkout, payment requests, order history, refunds, memberships, club dashboards, team access, support, security, abuse prevention, service messages, and legal records.

We use limited operational and GoatCounter analytics data to understand platform reliability, diagnose bugs, measure basic page and feature use, improve booking workflows, and maintain financial and audit records.

Lawful bases

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, our lawful bases include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent. Contract applies where data is needed to provide accounts, bookings, checkout, memberships, or support. Legitimate interests apply to platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement, basic analytics, operational communications, and dispute handling. Legal obligation applies to tax, accounting, regulatory, payment, or legal records. Consent applies to optional marketing and any other processing where consent is requested.

Sharing data

We share booking, racer, order, and membership information with the club or organiser responsible for the relevant club page, event, championship, or membership. We also share data with service providers that help us provide hosting, payments, email, authentication, analytics, logging, support, security, and fraud prevention.

Payments are processed using Stripe. go.atspeed.tech does not need to store full card numbers. Stripe and connected club accounts may process payment, identity, payout, fraud, dispute, and regulatory information under their own terms and privacy notices.

International use and transfers

go.atspeed.tech is used by clubs and racers in different countries. Data is processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries where go.atspeed.tech, clubs, or service providers operate. Where data protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards or lawful transfer mechanisms.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, including active accounts, booking administration, club operations, support, refunds, disputes, accounting, security, and legal record keeping. Order, payment, refund, and legal acceptance records may need to be kept after an account or booking is no longer active.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Some data cannot be deleted immediately where we need it for payment records, fraud prevention, dispute handling, tax records, security, or legal obligations.

Children and family profiles

RC racing can involve junior racers. A parent or guardian must manage bookings and account activity for a child where required by law, club rules, or racing-body rules. Clubs are responsible for their own safeguarding rules and on-the-day processes.

Email and marketing

We send service messages about accounts, logins, bookings, payment requests, order confirmations, event reminders, refunds, memberships, security, and support. These messages are needed to operate the platform or a booking you already started or completed.

New-event notifications, newsletters, platform updates, and similar one-to-many messages are treated as marketing or broadcast email. These messages are opt-in and include an unsubscribe route.
